Roderick Wright has filed a lawsuit against the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) in the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan. The case, filed on November 5, 2025, alleges violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. Wright claims that ASHA failed to provide reasonable accommodations for his disability during an ethics proceeding and retaliated against him after he filed a harassment complaint against an ASHA staff member. He seeks compensatory and punitive damages, as well as injunctive relief to prevent further harm.
