The United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Michigan announced on April 13 that its Case Management and Electronic Case Filing (CM/ECF) system will be unavailable from Friday, April 24 at 6:00 p.m. until Sunday, April 26 at 8:00 a.m. The court said this outage is necessary to perform essential security updates on the CM/ECF system.

This temporary unavailability will affect attorneys and parties who rely on electronic filing for bankruptcy cases in the district. The announcement aims to give advance notice so users can plan their filings accordingly.

According to the court, anyone needing to file an emergency matter during this period should call (313)316-6155 for assistance. The notice was signed by Todd M. Stickle, Clerk of Court.

The planned maintenance reflects ongoing efforts by courts nationwide to maintain secure and reliable electronic filing systems for case management purposes.

Users are encouraged to complete non-emergency filings before or after the scheduled maintenance window.
